What is it?
Body Contouring is a non-surgical, non-invasive procedure that uses a combination of radio-frequency and ultrasound technology to ultimately improve the tone and appearance of the skin.
Radiofrequency uses heat to transform collagen fibres. As the RF current passes through the dermis, these fibres begin to contract and thicken. This process aids in the skin’s own ability to produce collagen and elastin which ultimately boosts the skin, giving it a ‘plumped’ and firm appearance.
Ultrasound uses cold and hot ultrasonic waves that vibrate and destroy fat cells, while leaving surrounding tissue unharmed. The selective sound waves disrupt fat cell membranes leading to the gradual breakdown and release of stored fat through the lymphatic system and to help improve the appearance of cellulite.
Both RF and ultrasound work in synergy to improve over-all skin quality making it tighter and firmer so it’s also a great way of contouring and sculpting body areas. Using the same technique, it shall tone and tighten specific problem areas. It’s the ideal treatment for those not wanting to undergo cosmetic surgery for the risk factor but wish to rid loose stomach skin or tone the thighs.
Who’s having it?
For those who have undergone rapid weight loss or have experienced stretching of the skin after pregnancy will benefit from this treatment. Body Contouring will tighten a flabby stomach, sagging thighs, drooping buttocks or bingo wings – it’s an ideal solution for those not wanting to undergo cosmetic surgery.
When should I have this?
This treatment has no down-time but for optimum results, we recommend between 6-8 sessions in the same area, results can be enhanced by combining this treatment with other procedures such as Fat Freezing – this can be discussed in your initial consultation.
How long will results last?
Results are gradual and gained with each treatment, we would expect you to repeat another session of Skin Tightening after 2-3 months of your first. The more sessions completed, the longer the results will last.
