Unlike other hair removal methods that simply cut the hair or pull it out, laser hair removal targets the hair follicle, damaging it and preventing further growth. You can forget about itchy stubble reappearing after a couple of days or finding wisps that have escaped the wax.
Your aesthetic practitioner will use a handheld device to direct the laser into the unwanted hair follicle where the laser’s energy turns to heat. The heat is absorbed into the hair follicle, destroying the hair-producing cells.
The process may sound brutal but the only casualty will be your unwanted hair. Our lasers in the Finchley clinic are gentle on the skin and can even be used on sensitive areas.

It is important that the area of skin to be treated is shaved before you come to the salon. Your therapist needs to be able to access the follicle directly for best results and this is much easier if the hair growth is removed.
