Laser Rosacea Treatment

Rosacea is a condition involving the face that results in a “blush” or redness and progresses from intermittent to consistent. It is associated with prominent blood vessels that are visible on the skin’s surface. This condition affects 1 in 10 people and is more commonly found in men and women over the age of 30. There is not a proven cause of Rosacea, although some believe it to be hereditary, certain weather conditions, lifestyle situations and foods may also have an effect.

Rosacea will worsen the longer it is left untreated. Redness will become even more noticeable, and puss filled bumps (pustules and papules) may appear. Topical creams and antibiotics are solutions that work well for a short period of time. But the issue lies beneath the layers of the skin that is visible, and it’s Laser that will clear the reddening of the skin.

The Harmony AFT works by the laser being placed directly onto the skin and emitting wavelengths of light to target the visible blood vessels just underneath the surface. The heat from the laser works by breaking these vessels down and eventually the vessels collapse. After a course of treatment, they shall altogether disappear. This treatment is effective and works brilliantly to diminish Redness, Rosacea and Broken Capillaries. A relaxing and calming IPL facial to cleanse and calm the skin. Gently exfoliates dead skin cells skin using the Cocoa enzyme which acts as an anti-inflammatory, its powerful vasoconstricting properties help to calm sensitive skins. Following this with the AFT light to which targets the haemoglobin (red blood cells in the blood vessels) and melanin (brown pigment in freckles and age spots). The light beam passes through the skin and is absorbed by either haemoglobin or melanin resulting in damage to the vessel wall or fragmenting of melanin pigment. These tiny vessels and the melanin pigment are then absorbed by the body, rendering them less visible. To finish with the Red Tea mask which acts as an anti-inflammatory calming and hydrating. whilst a relaxing massage will help soothe away tension and stress.
