Laser Pigmentation Treatment

The term ‘Pigmentation’ means colouring. The skin gets its colouring from cells within the body that produce a pigment called ‘melanin’. When these cells are damaged, (by UV or in some cases, pregnancy and certain skin diseases) the melanin production is affected.

Pigmentation skin disorders can affect the colour of your skin. Darker skin tones usually mark, scar and pigment more easily than lighter skin tones, leaving behind permanent skin pigmentation marks.

The Harmony® AFT pulsed light technology is a virtually painless treatment to treat dark patches, age spots and sun damaged. It combines heat and light to target the pigmented areas and gradually break them down.

A relaxing IPL facial to deep cleanse and exfoliate dead skin cells skin using the Raspberry enzyme which Removes the build-up of dead skin and helps to lighten and brighten mild pigmentation with the extract of raspberry seed. This treatment clarifies and acts as an anti-inflammatory. Followed by the Yellow AFT light which causes fragmentation of the pigmentation and renewal of the upper layers of the skin stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. The treatment ends with a mask to insensitively heal and hydrate the epidermis whilst a relaxing massage will help to sooth away tension and stress.

After a single treatment, it takes between 10-14 days for the pigment to be drawn to the surface of the skin, the noticeability of the after effects are dependent on the individual.

After a course of treatments, the pigment is depleted and the complexion appears smooth, bright and even.
