Anti-Bacterial Gel

This one’s an all-year-round essential but if it’s not, then it definitely should be in summer time! We’re travelling more & exploring new places so be sure to keep your hands clean and avoid touching your face, germs are not welcome!

Cooling Spray

Depending on the brand, they’re usually suitable for all ages including infants and are an absolute must when you’re feeling the heat! Usually containing natural ingredients such as witch hazel, aloe and water, cooling sprays will lightly mist you and cool your temperature so if you’re a sufferer of prickly heat, a light cooling spray deserves it’s place in your make up bag this year

Setting Spray

A slightly different concept and the ultimate beauty saviour! A few spritz after your make up is complete and it’ll lock in your products, so let that sun shine down and fear not, your make up will last, regardless of the rays.

Concealer

There is nothing better than a truly good, creamy concealer. They hide a multitude of sins, dark circles, sun spots, blemishes & breakouts! Less is more in the summer, so pack away your foundation and let the skin breathe, placing a little concealer where you need it is a much more fresh & flawless look this time of year.

SPF Lip Balm

Our lips, said to be one of the most sensitive parts of the body, so lets keep them protected! An SPF lip balm will soothe, hydrate and protect from harmful rays as a normal sun screen would. Most lip balms contain an SPF 15 and you can pick them up for around £1.00 in most pharmacists, nothing less than the ultimate MUST HAVE.

Make Up Bag MUST HAVES for Summer 2019

Brow Gel

In the summer months, we’re prone to that ‘glow’ which of course comes with an abundance of confidence and endless ‘no make up’ days. But if you feel you need a little something, brush through your brows with a clear or light brow gel to feel just that little more put together. The staple of all beauty products in our make up bag… all year!

Micellar Water

We’ll be honest, we’re not fans of facial wipes, no matter how ‘quick & easy’ they seem. They don’t remove make-up fully and they contain drying alcohols and sensitising fragrances. It’s just as simple to pour a little micellar onto a cotton pad and use that instead! It’s much more gentle on the skin and around the eyes, not to mention, far more effective at removing makeup. So, pack a mini bottle of micellar & your cotton pads – you simply can’t go wrong!
